ABOUT ME

Well hello! Welcome to Relish Yellow!!! My name is Tara and it is my hope you will stay awhile and RELISH! My blogging endeavor, while in its infancy, is something I am truly passionate about.  I love to learn, love to read and love continued growth. And I have a hunger for creativity, writing, marketing, seeing people smile and hearing a big ol’ belly laugh!  My blog, Relish Yellow checks of all these boxes!

A bit about me personally, I find absolute joy in spending time with my husband and my family. Next in line, I love the outdoors and being active whether it be walking, running, biking or yoga, that is where I am most at peace. On the flip side, I love sleep, massages, herbal tea and on most days you will find me living in an oversized sweatshirt, sweatpants and knit slippers. I am obsessed with skin care, running shoes, handbags and all things organic. Oh and reading other awesome blogs!

Alone time is sacred. It is my time to pray, meditate, relax, and figure out who I am, where I am and what I want to be. And heck I have been know to daydream about winning the lottery during these quiet times. Whatever happens during this time is exactly what is supposed to happen!

I am always in “tweak” mode, trying to improve who I am, what I do and my impact on others. Introspection is key to morphing into the best versions of ourselves. This metamorphosis, this continuous improvement process is a journey, and a true test of perseverance. It can be grueling but it can also be fun!! While my life is truly amazing, and I know yours is too, there is more amazement out there.

WHY RELISH YELLOW??

What is up with the crazy title you ask? Well, for starters, Yellow invokes feelings of happiness, optimism, joy, positivity and enthusiasm. The yellow of the sun brings with it high energy. It is the most radiant color in the spectrum. In our country it is associated with traffic lights and signals a need to slow down, proceed with caution and put on the brakes.  Do you see where I am going with this?

Of the 20+ years I have spent commuting to jobs anywhere for 1 hour to two hours a day, I have learned the power of the yellow light, the strength that comes from “slowing down”.  I used to pray for green lights and curse the red. As I have gotten older, I pray for yellow. J   At YR,  I hope you will find interesting tidbits, features, how-to guides, guidance, information, advice, articles connections, products, service,  songs, books, etc. that help you slow down, inspire you, bring you optimism and cheerfulness.  I hope I encourage you to put on the brakes, self reflect and be the best version of yourself.   And laugh for sure!

Not to mention this World Wide Web is way to wide.  Navigating through the vast information is crazy overwhelming so I am here to rescue you. To bring you content that is relevant and helpful and information you didn’t even think about but is important .

In this space I hope to build a community of women of all ages to sit in “yellow”-the color of happiness and joy and the traffic light that makes us slow down! My mission and commitment is to be a positive influence in a world that can use some positivity.

My blog will cover health, wellness, nutrition, beauty, dabble in fashion, home décor, food, travel and bring you what you need as you fumble through life. You will also find just plain old silly things and craziness here.  I told you I love smiles and belly laughs.

SO RELISH IN YELLOW!!!  Please like this blog, share this blog, spread the sunshine!  Get ready for my Facebook page which is in the works and please sign up for my weekly emails.  Post will come out on Mondays to get your work week off on a positive note and Fridays because who doesn’t love Fridays and who doesn’t want to get lost in an awesome blog?  I love comments and welcome critiques as much as thumbs up and cheers of joy.  This is your community girls!!  I do request we keep this community respectful, helpful and uplifting while being honest.

SO WHICH ARE YOU?

I ask you to take this test- As you drive along during the course of your day, do you find you speed up when the light turns yellow or do you slow down and know that the world can wait a few seconds longer?  I encourage you to relish yellow. The wait will be worth it!
